When designing, I don’t consider architectural styles but believe that architecture should have style and should be born of an orderly growth of ideas stemming from the client's needs, desires and goals together with the potential of the site and environment. It is my desire to foster this growth into a synergistic framework with which to create an architecture unique to it's environment and it's inhabitants. I believe every project deserves to grow from this framework and not be forced into a mold foreign to it's nature.
To accomplish and encourage this kind of thoughtfulness, I have intentionally kept my practice small with never more than a few associates. I never wished to become a manager of draftsmen pushing ill-considered projects out the door as fast as possible. I have always believed in personal service and continuous communication with my clients. I am an interpreter of architectural goals and an important link between client and builder. I have always believed communication is the key to order and clarity between client, architect and builder and that it is critical to achieving harmonious architecture and satisfied owners.
